Privacy policy

The short version

Worthkeep is local-first. Your subscriptions and settings live on your device. There are no accounts, no bank or card linking, no ads, and no third-party analytics or tracking. We run no server that receives your data. The one exception to "nothing leaves your device": if you buy Worthkeep Pro, purchase validation is handled by RevenueCat — see Purchases below.

What we store, and where

Everything you enter — subscriptions, amounts, billing dates, categories, notes, Trim Check results, price history, and preferences — is stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes it.

Network requests

The app makes two kinds of network calls: (1) exchange rates, fetched from a public, keyless endpoint to convert currencies; (2) service logos, fetched by brand domain for the subscriptions you add. Like any web request, these include your device's IP address, and the logo provider (Logo.dev or DuckDuckGo) could see which service domains your device requested — but never your name, an account, or any identifier, because none exist.

Notifications

Payment and trial reminders are scheduled locally on your device. They are never sent through a push server and contain no data we can see.

Exports & backups

CSV/JSON exports and encrypted backups are created at your request and saved wherever you choose. Encrypted backups use AES-256-GCM (authenticated encryption) with a key derived from your passphrase; we never receive or store that passphrase, and a lost passphrase cannot be recovered.

Purchases

If you buy Worthkeep Pro, payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment details. To validate the purchase and unlock Pro, our purchase partner RevenueCat receives the store's purchase receipt and a random, anonymous app identifier — never your name, email, or payment information. These purchase records are kept by RevenueCat under its own privacy policy.

Data retention & deletion

Your data stays on your device for as long as you keep it. Delete any entry in the app, or erase everything by uninstalling — we operate no server, so there is no server-side copy to ask us to delete. Purchase records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat follow those companies' retention policies. For any privacy request, email support@worthkeep.app.

Children

Worthkeep is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone — the only data any third party receives is the anonymous purchase validation described above.
